2024 at Apex Race Centre – A year of triumphs!

It has been an incredible year at Apex Race Centre, filled with exciting milestones and achievements! As we prepare to welcome 2025, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished. To dive deeper into each milestone, here’s a detailed account of what we’ve been up to this year. Apex Graphics and Membership scheme

To kick off our year, we started with a mega upgrade for the exterior of the Race Centre. A simply beautiful wall art design was completed and installed, quickly making us the centre of attention in the room. This, paired with our Apex/Falken colour scheme made a monumental difference to the look of the Race Centre, and what we stand for!

Not only this, but January saw the launch of our latest Membership Scheme, allowing all drivers to take full advantage of everything we have to offer. With over 20 different members throughout the year, we think it’s safe to say that our memberships were a complete success, and look forward to helping our loyal members how to exploit their benefits.

Bigger and better group events – Corporate parties and Endurance racing

2024 at Apex saw many corporate parties visit us and enjoy our simulators to the full! Even with groups from 4 to 40, our goal never changed, to always make sure each and every driver had the best time possible. We, of course, share our venue with The Steamer Coffee House and Kitchen, who provided the food and drink for these events, making them absolutely unforgettable.

Although somewhat small, we managed to hold multiple endurance events this year, including GT3’s around Spa as well GTE’s around Portimao to fully test our drivers continuity. Once again, our events only saw success, and some incredible racing was had. We can’t wait for the next one!

Sanctioned Event and Driver partnerships

For the first time, Apex Race Centre visited and supported a local car show event in the area. An amazing day was had, creating some exposure for the Race Centre and also giving everyone visiting a small taster of what we’re all about. Although a one off at the time, there are plans to keep Apex out and about on a regular basis!

It was also around this time that we launched our Driver Partnerships! Once again, exposing the Apex brand, but this time into multiple different motorsport environments. Our sponsored drivers have the ability to use our state-of-the-art simulators to hone their racing skills, and prepare for upcoming races. We look forward to seeing how they all get on in 2025.

Travellers Choice Award and FastTrack final

In July, we were delighted to be awarded with the Tripadvisor Traveller’s choice award. A very prestigious award, given to us thanks to our lovely racing community leaving us some equally lovely reviews, also placing us in the top 10% of attractions worldwide on Tripadvisor. Absolutely amazing, and we can’t thank you enough for all your lovely words!

As if our build up to the summer couldn’t get better, it was soon time to crown our 2024 FastTrack to Motorsport final. Our competition, this year, ran throughout the first 6 months of 2024, resulting in a finale taking place in August. Some thrilling competition was had, and our three winners were fortunate enough to make it to the well deserved prize of a track day at Donington Park, where they put all their racing skills to the test.

1000 Facebook Followers and 12awards evening

As we tilted towards the end of our year, we were once again hit with good news for Apex. Another milestone achieved as we smashed past 1000 followers on facebook, which could only be celebrated in one way… a giveaway of course! A Falken goodie bag was given to our lucky winner, as a thank you for the continued support for the page. Onwards and upwards!

In December, it was time for the Apex crew to smarten up. The long awaited and exciting 12awards event was among us, seeing our team in full suit and tie. As a table sponsor, we took the time to enjoy every aspect of the evening, and support all the local businesses in attendance. It was a pleasure to be there, and we cannot wait to be at the next one.

Conclusion

It’s amazing to think about how far we’ve come in such a short time, and the future looks incredibly bright for Apex Race Centre. Before we wrap up, we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who visited us this year. Each and every one of you has played a part in shaping Apex into what it is today. A Night to Remember: KnightsPLC Takes on Apex Race Centre’s Simulators

Over a week has passed since the exhilarating evening we shared with KnightsPLC, yet the buzz of excitement still lingers in the air. On the 25th of April, Apex Race Centre played host to one of its most significant corporate events to date, welcoming KnightsPLC, a prominent legal and professional services firm, along with other esteemed guests, to experience the thrill of our state-of-the-art simulators.

The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as each participant, with heads held high, embraced the challenge of navigating the virtual track for the very first time. It was a testament to their enthusiasm and determination as they eagerly embraced the opportunity to test their driving skills in this exhilarating setting.

To add an extra layer of excitement to the evening, we decided to introduce a friendly competition among the drivers, with the ultimate goal of achieving the fastest lap time. This competitive spirit infused the event with a palpable energy, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and exhilaration. As the laps unfolded, cheers and encouragement filled the air, fostering a sense of community and shared achievement.

We are immensely proud of the camaraderie and sportsmanship displayed by all participants throughout the event. It was truly inspiring to witness individuals from diverse backgrounds come together in the spirit of friendly competition and mutual respect.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone at KnightsPLC for their invaluable contribution to the success of this event. Their collaboration and support were instrumental in bringing this unforgettable experience to life. We also extend our congratulations to every driver who stepped into the racing seat and embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and skill.

From Desks to the Driver’s Seat – Adopstar’s Corporate Party

At Apex Race Centre, we want to give everyone an exhilarating experience, that is why we offer exclusive hire packages for corporate parties and events! Adopstar, a local advertising and marketing company, recently visited Apex for a thrilling team-building experience. Their corporate party was divided into two groups of four, for an adrenaline-pumping series of races. The team went head-to-head on the track, starting with the Clio Cup around Brands Hatch Indy and eventually working their way up to the pinnacle of motorsport – 2023 F1 cars around Watkins Glen.

We monitored their lap times and created a bespoke leader board that added a competitive edge to the party, fuelling the Adopstar team’s desire to outpace their colleagues.

 

But it wasn’t just about the competition; it was also about the fun and camaraderie that emerged throughout the event. Adopstar brought their A-game, turning the racing experience into a memorable bonding opportunity for their team members.

One of Adopstar’s team members, Sara, shared her thoughts, saying, “Our visit exceeded my expectations. I had an awesome time at Apex Race Centre, and it’s a must for Formula 1 fans like me. From the start, the staff was really helpful and explained everything very clearly, giving us tips and tricks to navigate the session.”

 

At Apex, we ensure that each participant feels comfortable and confident on the track. We tailor the car settings to match the skills of each individual, ensuring that everyone had a blast while racing against each other.

Adopstar’s corporate party at Apex Race Centre was a hit, even for those who may have been a bit hesitant at first. As Claire from Adopstar humorously admitted, “I was a bit hesitant to start with but had such great fun, even though I spent more time off the track than on!!”
